Stationery: Pack 4–6 Packs (Yes, Really!) ✉️🖊️

Let’s talk letters from camp…
Because nothing makes a camp mom’s heart explode like opening the mailbox and seeing that camp envelope. 🥹
And nothing stings quite like… nothing. 🫠

So how much stationery do you pack?
4–6 packs. Minimum.
Before you think that’s excessive—here’s why:

✏️ Why So Many?

1️⃣ Sometimes camp makes them write.
“Letter before dinner!” is a real thing at many camps.
No stationery = your child asking 12 bunkmates for paper = chaos.

2️⃣ Sometimes they’re on a writing streak!
One day they’ll send you a 3-page update with drawings, emojis, and the entire bunk drama. AMAZING.

3️⃣ Sometimes… they won’t write at all.
Not a single letter. The entire summer. Zilch.
And you’ll think:
“Do they remember me?”
“Have they joined the circus?”
Deep breath: It happens to ALL of us.

😅 The Hard Truth:

No news from camp means…
They’re happy.
They’re busy.
They’re living their BEST LIFE.
(Does it still sting? YES. But we survive.)

Packing Tips for Stationery Success:

  • Pre-address envelopes (they will not remember your zip code)
  • Include stamps
  • Add fun pens or markers (makes writing feel like an activity, not homework)
  • Include a few “prompt” pages (What was the best thing today? Who’s in your bunk? What was for lunch?)

💌 Best Case Scenario:

They write every week.
You cry every time.
You save them forever.

🙃 Realistic Scenario:

You get 2 letters. One says:
“Hi. Camp good. Bye.”
Still a treasure.

❤️ Mom-to-Mom:

Pack the stationery.
Hope for the letters.
And if you don’t get any?
Welcome to the club. We’ve all been there.

(And don’t worry—you’ll still get all the stories… the second they’re back in your car!) 🚗💗
