🧳 What Size Trunk Should I Buy for Camp?

Short answer: The largest one your camp allows.
Long answer: Buckle up, we’re going camp trunk shopping.

Every camp has its own rules (and opinions) on trunk size. Some are very specific (“No wider than 44 inches!”), others just say “standard camp trunk.” Translation: whatever you want!

But here’s our rule of thumb:

If they’ll allow it — go BIG.

Because your camper will definitely come home with more than they left with. Friendship bracelets. T-shirts. A suspicious amount of dirt. And that extra pillow you swore “wouldn’t fit.”

Why Bigger Wins:

  • Easier to pack and unpack
  • More space for “just in case” items (we all pack those)

And if you’re still unsure? Give us a call — we’ve seen every camp list under the sun and we’ll point you in the right direction.

✨ The Bottom Line:

Camp Says

You Should Do

“2 camp duffels”

52 INCHES!

“Up to 36 or 44 inches”

Follow the rules!

Go big, go durable, and make it cute. Your camper will thank you (eventually).
